This includes performing user training on their certified application/s, primarily Opera PMS (Property Management System) and Sales & Catering, assisting with business process changes, training and implementation on Marriott specific interfaces and functionality such as but not limited to MARSHA 2 way, SGI (Single Guest Image), ODC (Opera Data Capture), Mystique, One Source. This includes hotel opening projects, application upgrades and the rollout of new major applications. They deliver ongoing training through various mediums on their certified applications. **Business Context** + This field base role requires constant travel throughout EMEA with extended periods away on project + Role also may require occasional travel outside of the continent + Manages and books own travel including ensuring appropriate Visas are in place if required + Manages the on-site installation of applications, ensure users are trained to the required level + Performs on property user training as required for the applications + Responsible for the activation of Opera PMS/ Sales & Catering and its link to external Reservation systems such as but not limited to MARSHA 2 way interface, ODC, One Source, Marriott Rewards, SGI and Mystique. + Assists the project team with the conversion/installation and cut-over process and any other duties necessary to ensure an on time successful installation that includes submitting the required pre-conversion forms for the 2-way and SGI activation). This also requires a good understanding of the IFLI (International Franchise LAN Integration) setup and PKI implementation process. Occasionally this may require assistance with the actual implementation of the certificate. + As directed conduct training for Reservations related systems – included but not limited to: Group Housing Solutions, High Performance Pricing, MarRFP, OSCAR, CTAC, eFast, MRDW. + Providing on site assistance to the project director to install the necessary connectivity certificates for the various system + Provide feedback to the Installation Manager Team leader and Director of Openings on all activities and issues that relate to the installation at the hotel + English required, but fluency in at least one other European language is helpful + Manages vendor installers whilst at hotels ensuring correct and standard set up and configuration to the Marriott standards + Assist with all relevant course delivery logistics, including but not limited to the training location, the training room setup and the training and user material distribution + Communicates with the property contact on activities related to the training and/or the installation and works with Hotel Executive team to ensure effective installation of applications + Ensures that all hotel pre work has been completed to agreed timescales and provides feedback on the submitted Opera pre work + Maintains knowledge of operational standards linked to the application training + Ensure that the property understands and follows the documented Business Process Changes + Maintains training records and completes hotel exit report. + Maintains a relationship with Marriott standard vendor's local representatives, offices and relevant Continent disciplines + Provides application specialist knowledge for continent standard applications primarily Opera PMS and Sales & Catering but also provides base knowledge on MARSHA and its associated systems + May need to participate in the development of business processes for all continental standard applications + Responsible for managing the “How Do I?” question process from hotels + Assists with the documentation of Marriott standard business processes and divisional business processes + Carries out ongoing training (re-training) for certified applications if requested + Participates in application testing for new versions, patches and enhancements + Assists in the documentation of applications, findings, enhancements and communicating these to the other Installation Managers and Marriott International development team + Assist in the design of training courses using various mediums of delivery + Communicate and ensure hotels adopt correct support procedures for applications **Candidate Profile** **Experience** + 5 years work experience in a hotel management position or equivalent skills experience + Experience in all aspects of hotel operations and management. + Strong working knowledge on Opera PMS and/ or Sales & Catering and preferably good knowledge on MARSHA _Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
