The award winning One Spa has an exciting opportunity for a Head Spa Attendant Regarded as Europe’s most advanced city spa One Spa, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh, is a natural balance of energy, water and heat in a beautiful, light-filled space. The philosophy at One Spa is all-encompassing; down to the smallest details the Spa is designed to comfort, pamper and relax. This role involves working 40 hours per week 5 days out of 7, includes weekends and involves Early and Late shift cover. **Job Description** The Head Spa Attendant will be responsible for supervising the team in their daily tasks, ensuring that all areas are kept according to standard and that all Spa Attendants deal with customers in a polite and professional manner, always able to assist with enquiries and requests. Under the guidance of the Spa Reception Manager, ensure that the maintenance, hygiene and cleanliness is to the highest standards of in all aspects of the operation, identifying training needs when necessary and effectively ensure that all procedures and requests are completed correctly and in a timely manner. **Main Responsibilities:** Demonstrable leadership & organizational skills with a flexible attitude Ensure all policies and procedures are followed by leading by example Supervise all Spa Attendants by checking areas of responsibility that have been assigned to the team members and follow up to unsure that tasks and checklists have been completed Perform Spa Duty Management as/when required Ensure weekly cleaning tasks have been completed Liaise with Spa Reception Manager if any team member shows performance issues and work closely to address it Work with Spa Reception Manager on updating SOP’s, Risk Assessments and Health & Safety folder. Train all new team members and follow on boarding guidelines for new starts Set goals and KPIs with each team member and follow up on these at monthly catch ups and year end reviews Carry out team training and development and create training plans for each team member. Have monthly catch up meetings with each team member Ensure all team members are logging maintenance correctly and faults are followed up To carry out regular cleaning checks of the Spa to ensure cleaning standards are maintained To co-ordinate the ordering, storage and control of consumables/amenities for the spa To manage the storage and circulation of spa linen, ensuring all areas are maintained in order by all team members To train, monitor and allocate Spa Attendants to maintain standards and consistency of service throughout the Spa Hold weekly team meetings and ensure issues and ideas are getting discussed and implement new ideas when possible To ensure any guest requests and complaints are handled effectively and if unable to do so, ensure these are raised immediately to the appropriate level Benefits: In return we offer unlimited career opportunities, industry leading benefits (including discounted hotels, free meals on duty, uniform, dental and optical plans), and an environment where your development is our priority.
