KEY ATTRIBUTES Ø Possess a good command of English Ø An excellent verbal manner and proven customer service skills Ø Good knowledge or experience of the hospitality industry Ø Good organisation skills with an attention to detail Ø A team Player with flexible & positive attitude Ø Hardworking and consistent DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES Ø Previous experience in hosting Ø Previous experience using booking systems Ø Be able to demonstrate experience in complaint handling Ø Passion for the hospitality industry Ø Able to work in a fast paced environment & remain calm under pressure Ø Previous brand experience or knowledge MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES _This role requires thefollowing responsibilities, which include but are not limited to;_ o Represent and be the face of the hotel/bar to all guests o Greet guests and present menu o Strong task and time management abilities o Interacting with guests with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills o Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance o Create classics and innovative drinks exceeding guests needs and expectations o Assess guests needs and preferences and make recommendations o Make recommendations and answer all related inquiries o Record drink orders accurately into Micros o Record wastages o Prepare and serve drinks in accordance with standard recipes o Peel, slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks. o Mix and garnish cocktails according to standard specs o Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies o Serve snacks to guests seated at the bar o Up-sell drink and food to guests o Respond promptly to requests from guests in a polite and professional way. o Eye for detail and own initiative o Attempt to limit problems related to guests excessive drinking by following established procedures o Process transactions using the POS system o Prepare checks for guests or open tabs o Process guests payments, or take tabs by using CC or room number + name o Arrange glasses and bottles into attractive and functional displays o Ensure clean glasses, bar equipment and working areas o Comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards and policies o Balance the cash register at the start and close of each shift o Order and restock bar inventory (Requisitions, fruit orders...) o Create drinks recipes o Stay guests focused and provide excellent guests experience o Availability to work late nights, weekends and bank holiday as we operate 365 days a year o Help others (barbacks, waitress...) when required, don't wait to be told o Maintain bars as clean as possible and use quiet times to clean, tidy up o Make sure wearing a uniform and W pin at all times when in public areas. _As per business needs andat the request of direct supervisor and/or management, the talent could berequired to perform other tasks outside of those listed above._ _Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
